¿WHAT
IS THE WORLD MEETING OF FAMILIES?
Every three years the Holy Father
summons the catholic families of the world to an encounter
of unity, in which thousands of families of the five
continents meet, in order to share, dialogue, pray
and study in depth important aspects of the role of
the Christian family, such as Domestic Church and
base unit of evangelization and society.

THE
FAMILY: TEACHER OF VALUES
Speaking of the family as teacher
of values makes reference to a series of actions that
imply a whole process oriented to obtain a definition,
a configuration, a firmness and perfection in each
person that conform the family, procedures that allow
us to reach a greater strength and a better “finish”.
It is universally accepted
that the human being is molded, especially.

Ennio Cardinal
Antonelli (born November 18, 1936) is an Italian
prelate of the Roman Catholic Church. He was Archbishop
of Florence from March 2001 to June 2008 when he
was appointed as President of the Pontifical Council
for the Family.
He was
born at Todi, Umbria, on 18 November 1936. He first

1. At the beginning of a New Year,
I wish to send my fervent good wishes for peace,
together with a heartfelt message of hope to men
and women throughout the world. I do so by offering
for our common reflection the theme which I have
placed at the beginning of this message. It is one

PLENARY ASSEMBLY
OF THE PONTIFICAL COUNCIL FOR THE FAMILY
I am pleased to meet you at the end of the 18th Plenary
Assembly of the Pontifical Council for the Family
on the theme: "Grandparents: their witness and
presence in the family". I thank you for accepting
my suggestion at the Meeting in Valencia when I said:
"In no way should [grandparents] ever be excluded
from the family circle.  |
